4. Legal Bases for Processing Personal Data (EEA/UK)

If you are located in the EEA or the United Kingdom, we rely on one or more of the following legal bases:

  • Performance of a contract. We process data as necessary to provide the Service, manage accounts, operate subscriptions, process marketplace transactions, and respond to support requests.
  • Legitimate interests. We process data where necessary for our legitimate interests in improving the Service, preventing fraud, protecting users, securing the platform, operating the user-generated item database, analyzing use of the Service, and marketing the Service in a measured way, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent. We rely on consent where required, for example for certain push notifications, precise location access, camera permissions, or specific advertising/tracking permissions depending on your device and jurisdiction.
  • Legal obligation. We process data when necessary to comply with applicable law, lawful governmental requests, accounting rules, tax obligations, or regulatory requirements.

5. How We Share Personal Data

We may share personal data in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers. We use third-party providers that support hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting, communications, notifications, payment processing, fraud prevention, customer support, and infrastructure operations.
  • Marketplace counterparties. If you buy or sell through the internal marketplace, we may share information with the other party as reasonably necessary to complete and support the transaction, such as name, shipping details, and order-related information. We do not disclose your password, full payment credentials, or unrelated account data to marketplace counterparties.
  • Payment processors and app stores. Subscription purchases, payouts, and some transaction-related functions may be processed through Apple, Google, Stripe, PayPal, or other providers subject to their own terms and privacy policies.
  • Analytics, attribution, and communications partners. We may use providers such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, and similar tools for analytics, diagnostics, attribution, remote configuration, and messaging.
  • Advertising or marketing partners. Where permitted by applicable law and your settings, we may share limited device, attribution, or audience data with ad-tech or campaign partners to measure campaigns or personalize advertising.
  • Legal and safety purposes. We may disclose data to courts, regulators, law enforcement, rights holders, or other parties where we believe disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, property, or the integrity of the Service.
  • Business transfers. We may disclose or transfer personal data in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar corporate transaction.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to:

  • access personal data we hold about you;
  • request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data;
  • request deletion of your data, subject to legal and operational exceptions;
  • object to or restrict certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is based on consent;
  • request portability of certain data; and
  • lodge a complaint with a competent data protection authority.

To exercise these rights, contact us at support@snaprelicapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling a request.

7. Age Limitation

We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If you believe a child under 16 has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8. International Data Transfers

We may transfer personal data to countries other than the country where the data was originally collected. Where required by applicable law, we use appropriate safeguards for international data transfers, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or other lawful transfer mechanisms.

9. Data Retention

We retain personal data for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain accounts, operate the user-generated item database and marketplace, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, prevent fraud, enforce agreements, and maintain relevant business records.

Some user-generated content, item database contributions, and transaction records may need to be retained longer than your active account period for marketplace integrity, fraud prevention, audit trails, legal defense, tax/accounting purposes, or the consistency of our database, subject to applicable law.

10. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our service providers may use cookies, SDKs, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember preferences, support app and web functionality, measure performance, analyze usage, attribute installs or campaigns, and support fraud prevention and advertising.

You can control some of these technologies through your browser, operating system, device settings, or any consent tools we make available. Disabling certain technologies may affect how the Service functions.

11. Advertising and Analytics Choices

We may use analytics and attribution providers such as Firebase, AppsFlyer, Amplitude, and similar tools to understand usage, measure campaign performance, diagnose issues, and improve the Service.

Depending on your device, jurisdiction, and settings, you may also be able to limit advertising tracking, reset advertising identifiers, or opt out of certain interest-based advertising through your device or platform settings. Push notifications can generally be managed through your device settings.

We do not treat browser “Do Not Track” signals as a universally effective opt-out mechanism because there is no consistent industry standard for such signals.

12. California Privacy Disclosures

If you are a California resident, you may have additional rights under applicable California privacy laws, including rights to know, access, delete, and correct certain personal information, and the right to limit or opt out of certain sharing or uses where applicable. These rights are subject to legal exceptions.

You may submit a privacy request by contacting support@snaprelicapp.com. We may need to verify your identity before acting on your request.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we may provide notice by posting the updated version on this page, updating the “Last updated” date, or using other appropriate means. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date of the updated Privacy Policy means the updated Privacy Policy will apply going forward.
